“I am your Creator, you were in My care even before you were born,” Isaiah 44:2A (CEV)
In every man’s life there are so many unanswered “whys.”
Sometimes we ask ourselves why we were born, why the parents we have, why our color or race, why our status in life, etc.
These questions that rankle our minds have only one answer: We are created by God; Our birth and whatever we are is planned by Him, long before we were conceived by our parents. Each one of us is created with a purpose.
After reading a book entitled The Purpose-Driven Life and written by Rick Warren, let me share with you Russell Kelfer’s poem that could help enlighten us on why we are created:
You are who you are for a reason.
You’re part of an intricate plan.
You’re a precious and perfect unique design,
Called God’s special woman or man.
You look like you look for a reason.
Our God made no mistake.
He knit you together within the womb,
You’re just what he wanted to make.
The parents you had were the ones he chose,
And no matter how you may feel,
They were custom-designed with God’s plan in mind,
And they bear the Master’s seal.
No, that trauma you faced was not easy.
And God wept that it hurt you so;
But it allowed to shape your heart
So that into his likeness you’d grow.
You are who you are for a reason,
You’ve been formed by the Master’s rod.
You are who you are, beloved,
Because there is a God!
Hopefully, this could enlighten us in our unanswered “whys.”[box type=”default” size=”large”] Food for thought [/box]God is not just the starting point of your life; He is the source of it. — Rick Warren (from the Bible)
