MANILA — Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas has ordered an investigation on the possible liability of Camarines Norte Gov. Edgardo Tallado in connection with some photos of him and his alleged mistress circulating in social media.
In a press briefing at Camp Crame, Roxas said there is a need to study the possible sanctions that may be imposed on Tallado, noting that this is the first time that the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) is handling such case.
“Honestly, this is the first time that this happened (involving a local chief executive). So we are really studying this, what are his accountabilities,” said Roxas.
Tallado has gained notoriety over the case of his missing wife who turned out to have escaped from him for fear of her life.
During interviews, his wife Josie said she was forced to flee after her husband accused her of uploading photos of him and his alleged mistress in the social media.
Three photos of Tallado became viral in the social media. One of the photos shows him and his alleged mistress in a torrid kissing scene.
The governor had already apologized for the incident but his wife Josie is bent on pressing charges against him. (Tempo)
