The Filipino American Student Association (FASA) at the University of Michigan will host a Philippine Culture Night, which will showcase Philippine culture and tradition, in the evening of Nov. 18, 2017 at UM’s Michigan League Ballroom.
FASA leaders Gabrielle dela Cruz and Joy Mecano said the event will be the largest fundraiser in the semester “for our organization and part of the proceeds will go to the NAFCON—the National Alliance for Filipino Concern.”
NAFCON is an organization that supports communities in the Philippines in face of environmental challenges. NAFCON helps solve lack of clean water and provide relief for typhoon victims.
Dela Cruz and Mecano said that through the Philippine Cultural Night, FASA “hopes to showcase our heritage through food, dance, ensembles, singing and other cultural performances. They also said FASA “thrives on Filipino culture as the driving force behind its continuing efforts to educate others about our identity.”
FASA is seeking public support by offering advertising space in its Philippine Cultural Night souvenir program.
Advertising space is offered for the following sizes and rates: Inside covers (Black & White) — $100; Full page (Black & White) — $60; Half page (Black & White) — $35; Quarter page (Black & White) — $20; business card size (Black & White) — $10.
All requests for ad space must be received by Sunday, Nov. 5.
Dela Cruz and Mecano also said, “Your support is truly appreciated as we endeavor to make an impact on the lives of Filipinos and the greater community. Please feel free to contact our executive board at [email protected] if you have questions or concerns.”
