The Philippine Consulate based in Chicago, Illinois will render consular services at the Philippine American Community Center (PACCM) in Southfield on Sept. 14, 2013, it was announced.
Willie Dechavez, who was appointed by PACCM President Becky Tungol to chair a committee tasked to prepare for the “Consulate on Wheels,” said the early announcement is intended to give sufficient time to people, who will be availing themselves of the consular services.
“This will give them enough time to secure the required documents and file on-line their applications for new passports or renewal of passports.
During the “Consulate on Wheels,” the consulate will also accept applications and process applications for dual citizenship.
Dechavez said that individuals intending to take advantage of the consular services are urged to visit the consulate’s website for information on application forms, requirements and deadlines or may call the consulate at telephone ( 312) 332-6458.
The “Consulate on Wheels” will be hosted by PACCM.
