GMA-7’s noontime Sunday show “Party Pilipinas” is still on a six-month probation, the Movie, TV Review and Classification Board  (MTRCB) clarified. The clarification was issued following a public apology aired by the program’s bigwigs.

The controversy stemmed from the opening number: There were sexually charged scenes not suitable for viewing by kids.

If Party Pilipinas still violates the rules of the MTRCB within the probationary period, the show would be cancelled. As of last week, GMA-7 was still digging deep in its investigation to find out how the objectionable scenes came about apparently unnoticed by the producer of the show.

Well, Echo, as Jericho is fondly called, appeared to have soared high in world fame.

After he starred in an American movie and two indie films which were acclaimed in international film festivals, Echo is ready to penetrate the Asian market.

By this time, Echo should have already started a TV series in Malaysia, which will be shown in other Asian countries.

The setting of TV series will be in Malaysia, Philippines and France. Echo didn’t hesitate to accept the job instead of a new  ABS-CBN teleserye “Against All Odds,” which is bannered by Judy Ann Santos, Sam MIlby and KC Concepcion.

“I’m glad the Kapamilya management understood me. Alam nilang target ko talagang maging international actor. I’m very thankful, grateful for their understanding,” Echo told members of the movie press.

By scanning a new horizon, Echo edges out his contemporaries who also crave for world recognition.[box type=”default” size=”large”] Bea Alonzo not disheartened [/box]With scathing talks that her TV series “A Beautiful Affair” didn’t click and abruptly ended, Bea Alonzo doesn’t feel disheartened. “After our blockbuster film “The Mistress,” perhaps it didn’t measure up to something. But I’m not disheartened. That’s showbiz. You expect, pero iba ang nangyari. It’s really hard to explain. Pero happy pa rin kami ng leading man ko na si John Lloyd (Cruz). Kasi may mga movies at TV series kaming gagawin separately,” Bea told her writer-friends

On claims of Marian Rivera’s fans that her teleserye “Temptation of A Wife” beat Bea’s series by a wide margin in viewership, Bea succinctly remarked, “No comment ako. That’s their opinion. We are all entitled to that.”[box type=”default” size=”large”] Pinay model makes it to Asia’s Top Three [/box]Pinay Stephanie Retuya has made it to the finals of Asia’s Next Model competition held in Singapore.
