As an aftermath of the aborted acting comeback of Kristine Hermosa, words spread fast about her alleged marital squabble with her husband, Oyo Sotto.
A confidante of Kristine told us that it’s true her hubby had turned down an offer by ABS-CBN for Kristine to do a remake of “Pangako sa Iyo” and a chance to star in a Malaysian movie, but Kristine took the matter with understanding. She has no ill feeling about Oyo’s decision.
“Kristine agrees that the planned four-month stay in Malaysia to shoot the film would be too long for her to stay away from home. And for her to play the role of secondary mother in the remake of ‘Pangako’ seems not flattering. So, okay lang kay Kristine ang pasya ni Oyo. No conflict whatsoever,” my source said.
In any case, Oyo and Kristine won’t close the door to any opportunity to do a movie anew, but it depends on the kind of movie that would be offered to Kristine.

Top survey firms TV AGB Nielsen Mega and Kantar Media TNS came up with contrasting findings in the month of March.
AGB Nielsen claimed that “Party Pilipinas” and “Magpakailanman” – both shows of Kapuso station — beat Kapamilya network’s “ASAP” and “Maaala Mo Kaya,” respectively. It’s the other way around with the findings of Kantar.
In the survey of AGB Nielsen, the new Kapamilya series “Little Champ” (Lito Lapid) didn’t make it to the top 10 in the rating chart. It’s at 6th place in the Kantar survey. “Eat Bulaga” led “It’s Showtime” in the rating race by a wide margin, according to AGB Nielsen. But Kantar findings stated that “It’s Showtime” had already beat “Eat Bulaga” in terms of viewership.
Both survey firms reported that the top two rated shows are still “Juan dela Cruz” and “Ina, Anak, Kapatid,” both teleserye of the Kapamilya network. In terms of overall viewership, AGB Nielsen maintained that GMA-7 had beaten ABS-CBN in March. But Kantar claimed ABS-CBN was the real winner in the rating game.
Oh, well, what else is new? For quite at time, the two survey companies have conflicting results. So it is up to the viewers to determine which of the two is more credible.

While Alessandra de Rossi is no big star locally, she bagged again another best actress trophy abroad. This time, at the ASEAN International Film Festival Awards held recently in Sarawak, Malaysia. It’s for her role in the movie “Sta. Nina” which banners Coco Martin who co-produced it. Years past, Alex won at the European film fests.
Will this accolade change her decision to quit showbiz soon? Reportedly, Alex feels disgusted over her moribund career, with offers for movie projects coming seldom and far between. It’s high time producers to take notice of her acting capability.
At the Sarawak filmfest, “Sta. Nina” also romped off with the “best drama film” award and Anita Linda garnered the best supporting actress award. Bugoy Carino won the best supporting actor trophy for his role in “Alagwa.” Jericho Rosales (Alagwa), who graced the affair, lost by a slim margin to Malaysian Shalheizy for the best actor plum.
Blind Item: Talks have it that the husband and son of a senior actress will file charges against her. It stemmed from injuries she inflicted on her son during a rift. This was aggravated by her below-the-belt attacks against him and her hubby in her Instagram. The name of this actress has always been synonymous with controversies.
