Right after the Movie, Television, Radio Classification Board (MTRCB) put GMA-7 show Party Pilipinas under probation for six months as punishment for its sexually oriented opening number, the board censored Kapamilya network’s ASAP.

MTRCB has ordered the ASAP people to attend a gender-sensitivity seminar.

It came as an aftermath of the wet-look part of Anne Curtis as she did Rihanna’s version of Diamonds during her 28th birthday celebration. Actually, it was a penalty lesser in degree than that of Party Pilipinas.

Aside from airing a public apology, the board will also strictly regulate the presentation of ASAP for six months.

At the outset, MTRCB intended to strictly censor ASAP. But it softened up after Anne Curtis voluntarily aired a public apology and made a promise not to don any sexy attire henceforth.

Due to the controversy, though, televiewers who never watched the shows have piqued their interest in Party Pilipinas and ASAP as shown by the climb in viewership in the rating chart.[box type=”default” size=”large”] No rift among Ogie, Janno and Andrew E [/box]Contrary to rumors that Ogie Alcasid, Janno Gibbs and Andre E had a quarrel at the set of the movie “Raketeros” due to “sapawan,” “agawan ng eksena,” the film’s megger, singer-TV host Randy Santiago, said there was no such feud that happened.

“Sa totoo lang, every scene with them turns funnier dahil nagsasaluhan sila ng ad libs, tapos magbatuhan ng mga joke. That’s why offcamera, I can’t stop laughing. Tuloy ang pag-tickle nila sa funnybones ng mga nasa set. I’ve no regrets accepting the job to direct them. I enjoy my time to the fullest,” Randy told his writer-chums.

Co-stars Mayor Herbert Bautista and Rufa Mae Quinto didn’t contradict Randy’s statement. In fact, they said the group’s antics had rubbed on them, too.[box type=”default” size=”large”] Albie Casino’s showbiz comeback [/box]For a time, young actor Albie Casino had never been heard since his altercation with ex-GF Andi Eigenmann with whom he has sired a child. Seemingly, ABS-CBN had frozen his career to punish him for hurting Andi. Or it could be that Albie himself had avoided the limelight.

As of last week, Albie came out with a statement that he’s now under  contract with TV5. Albie has a tele-serye entitled “Warrior Angel,” topbilled by Ella Caballero and JC de Vera. The three form a triumvirate in the action-drama series.

Queried by a colleague on the reports that Albie wanted to win back Andi, he didn’t shilly-shally in his reply. “After the ordeal I went through with Andi, I’d like to be a man enough to admit my mistakes. Yes, I’ve  been apologetic to her, pero ‘di ibig sabihin nakikipagbalikan na ako sa kanya. We’re both happy with the way we are these days.”

On his showbiz comeback, Albie is grateful to the Kapamilya network bigwigs and, at the same time, he is thankful to TV5 management for his second break in showbiz. He vows to do all means not to disappoint the TV5 bigwigs for their trust in him.[box type=”default” size=”large”] Sharon sticks to Kapatid station [/box]In days past, the brewing talks had it that upon her arrival from her concerts in the United States, Sharon Cuneta would return to her former network, ABS-CBN. But Sharon vehemently denied these talks.

“My contract at the TV5 is up to 2016. In the first place, I’ve no regrets sa pagpirma ko sa kanila. In fact, I was told a drama anthology for me is being readied. Anytime now, we’ll sit down to discuss it,” Sharon told our mutual chum.

Heaving a sigh, Sharon clarified reports about her closeness with Kapamilya executive Charo Santos. The reports had it that their closeness was the reason for her decision to return to ABS-CBN.

“Yes, for a long time we’re so attached to each other that we regularly keep in touch. But our conversation would always have nothing to do with showbiz matters. Despite my transfer, our trust in one another remains.”
