With innuendoes hitting the Barretto sisters – Gretchen, Claudine and Marjorie — left and right, the feud in their family has turned from bad to worst.

This has become complicated with the involvement in the feud of their mom, Inday, and their other non-showbiz siblings.

Friends and close relatives of the Barrettos have one wish: A healing process should come to the fore.

From way back, the rift among the Barretto sisters had been widely talked about. But it is different now due to the surprisingly pernicious words thrown at Gretchen by her mom, who is obviously siding with her younger daughter, Claudine.

And the malevolent defense by Getchen’s brother of their mom had aggravated the situation, putting the former in a bad light.

The supposedly personal grievances among the family members have become an open book due largely to the brunt created by the media.

In Tagalog, “pinagpiyestahan ng media people. Pinag-usapan sa publiko ang dapat nakatagong baho ng kanilang pamilya.”

Here are some of the issues involving the family: Gretchen and Claudine opposed the showbiz entrance of Marjorie’s daughter, Julia Barretto (caused by envy?), and the reported misunderstanding between Claudine and her husband Raymart Santiago, which caused their alleged separation.

A noted guidance counselor opined that what the Barretto family needs is a healing process that could be initiated by someone who all of them respect and who would give them therapeutic treatment — emotionally, mentally and spiritually.

A slim, sexy-looking Katrina Halili confided recently to my colleague that she had bumped into Hayden Kho at a mall. It was recalled that Hayden, a former doctor, had caused shame to Katrina and caused the downfall of her career because of the release to the public of a video showing the two former lovers in explicit sex acts. This had compelled her to sue Hayden.

Katrina was quoted as saying, “I still remember the pains, agony that I had undergone. Pero, wala na akong ill feeling about it whatsoever. Dedma lang ako. What’s important to me is that I’ve fully recovered emotionally, mentally. I’ve moved on and happy with my love life with my BF Kris (Lawrence). There’s no more bitterness in me.”

Katrina was with Kris, a noted singer, when the duo chanced upon Hayden. She said Kris’s instinct was to confront and harm  Hayden but she prevailed upon him.

Does this mean that Katrina has totally forgiven Hayden?

With his acting career perking up again at GMA-7, Mark Anthony Fernandez recounted how his mistakes altered his  life’s outlook from negative to positive.

Precisely, Mark wants his half-brother Renz Fernandez, who’s a Kapamilya actor, to learn a lesson from his experience.

“Hopefully, Renz shouldn’t be overpowered by setback, unhappy countenance. He needs to be strong to outgrow his being dispirited. Pretty sure, Renz can accomplish his goal to be as successful as our dad (the late Rudy Fernandez),” Mark said.

Regarding Renz’s mom, Lorna Tolentino, Mark and Lorna have a rapport since way back. There would be no hindrance if the plan to cast them together in a Kapuso tele-serye materializes.

Current reports: It is now official: After several decades ex-movie queens Susan Roces and Amalia Fuentes will team up again in a project. Yes, Amalia agreed to co-star with Susan in the forthcoming Kapamilya tele-serye, “Muling Buksan ang Puso.” We heard they would play the role of off-beat characters.

Marian Rivera junked her manager in favor of a new management group, headed by the Tuvieras. Is it true that a new sexy image of Marian will soon emerge? What would this mean to her BF Dingdong Dantes, who’s allegedly leaving GMA-7 soon?

None from the mainstream movies made it to the list of nominees at the Urian Awards which be held this month. The spokesman of this group of movie critics, the Manunuris, said that truly the indie films had clobbered films produced by major outfits.

In the running for the Urian acting awards are Eddie Garcia, Jericho Rosales, JM de Guzman, Dominic Roco, Alessandra and Assunta de Rossi, Gina Alajar and Nora Aunor.”

In world filmfests, the local indie movies grabbed awards or strongly competed. These were led by Eddie’s movie “Bwakaw,” Nora’s “Thy Womb,” and Jericho’s “Alagwa.”
