All is ready for the Piolo Pascual show set on Friday, March 27, 2015, at the Masonic Temple in Detroit.
The producers said preparations for the show entitled “The Ultimate Heartthrob Papa P. Meets Mamang P.” are winding down, and arrangement with the venue is done.
The two-hour show will start at 8 p.m.
The producers announced that young home-grown singer Antoinette Hannah Joseph will be the featured front-act in the show. Antoinette is popular among Filipinos in Michigan because she performs regularly at Filipino American events. She sings well in Tagalog and English.
The selling of tickets in the last few days before the show is described as brisk as Filipinos in Michigan and Windsor, Canada wait for the last day to buy their tickets.
Piolo will hold the concert together with popular comedienne Pokwang. Produced by Palado Productions, the show is expected to be a hi-octane entertainment that is both hilarious and endearing.
Piolo is noted for his acting talent, but he has also held a successful concert in the Philippines. He has likewise released five albums. A member of the ABS-CBN’s Star Magic, Piolo celebrated his 10th anniversary in 2007 with a coffee table book (Piolo: Believing), a fifth solo album (Timeless), and a solo concert in the Araneta Coliseum
Piolo was born on Jan. 12, 1977 in Manila. He is the youngest son of Amelia “Amy” Nonato Pascual and Philip Victoriano Pascual, who is half-Spanish and half-German. Piolo’s father was the son of Harold Herzig, a full-blooded German, and his Filipina wife with Spanish descent, Aurora Victoriano. This explains Piolo’s Eurasian features.
Harold Herzig died while Piolo’s father was young, and this led to the remarriage of Piolo’s grandmother to a Pascual.
