The Philippine Association of Northeastern Michigan (PANEM) will hold its 35th Annual Holiday Dinner Dance on Nov. 24, 2012 at the Horizons Conference Center in Saginaw.
As in the previous dinner-dance affair, there will be cultural presentation and sampling of unique Filipino desserts.
The theme of this year’s event is “Noong Unang Panahon.”
Expected to attend the affair are acquaintances, friends and colleagues of PANEM members who represent at least 150 families.
PANEM was created over three decades ago when “less than a dozen Filipinos living in Saginaw County” held a meeting in the basement of the Saginaw Township Hall.
The purposes of the organization are: To promote and preserve Filipino culture and traditions in the community, strengthen the filial ties of “our families and friends and share the merriment while doing it.”
