The National Alliance to Nurture the Aged and the Youth (NANAY) will start giving free anti-flu shots to seniors in the last Sunday of this month (September) at the Philippine-American Community Center of Michigan (PACCM), it was announced.
Incidence of the dreaded flu is usually high in fall, and the immunization is a measure to prevent its spread.
NANAY Director Becky Tungol said senior citizens who are 62 years old and older will be given free immunization against the flu. Young people who want to have the flu shot will be asked to pay $10 each.
The anti-flu shots will be given from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. every Sunday at PACCM which is located at 17356 Northland Park Court, Southfield.
The free immunization is an annual project of NANAY in cooperation with PACCM.
