Community leader Tony Kho was elected president of the Filipino American Republicans of Michigan (FARMI) during the political party’s organizational meeting held last Nov. 8 at the Philippine American Cultural Center of Michigan (PACCM) in Southfield.
Kho is the incumbent executive director of the PACCM, former president of the Filipino American Community Council (PACCM) and incumbent member of the board of directors of the Michigan chapter of the National Federation of Filipino American Associations (NaFFAA-MI) and the Philippine Chamber of Commerce-Michigan (PCCM).
The meeting was attended by Rob Lagregen, Michigan state director of the Republican National Committee; and Adi Sathi, vice chair of coalitions of the Republican Party.
The other elected FARMI officers are vice president, Bert Reginaldo; secretary-treasurer, Amy Risvold; public relations officer, Sofy Bole; and youth director, Kelly Ilagan.
Members of the board of directors are Fe San Agustin, Dr. Ernie Mac, Dr. Elie Medina, Rhodes Porcalla, Becky Tungol, Owen Diaz, Nieves McRoberts, Remy Solarte, Loida Moses and Lavinia Mateo.
Social directors are Flor Penner, Boots Gabarda, Betsy Henry and Tess Porcalla.
Executive director is Ed Navarra.
