Friendship Dinner

Preparations are on-going for the second annual Philippine-American Friendship Dinner, an event that will feature, among others, a special tribute to Outstanding Senior Citizens of Michigan.

Hosted by the US Pinoy for Good Governance-Michigan (USP4GG), the evening event will be held in the St. Josaphat Banquet Center at 26440 Ryan Road, Warren in the evening of July 14, 2018 (Saturday).

The special tribute honors senior citizens for a job well done either as community volunteers or family heads providing all the needs of their children and for their sacrifices and unconditional love.

The event will celebrate the long-standing friendship between the peoples of the United States and the Philippines. Its purpose is to strengthen the friendly relationship. USP4GG-Michigan is a 501(c)3 organization which is a non-profit and non-political. Its mission and goals are to educate the Filipino-American community about the principles and values of good governance by addressing issues that concern and affect Filipinos and Filipino-Americans.

It also promotes community understanding of the history, culture, and values of Filipinos. The organization plans to promote, organizes and participates in projects that benefit both the Philippines and the United States.

The projects focus on good governance and provide opportunities for empowerment and civic engagement.

Filipinos’ participation in and support for the fundraising dinner event that helps USP4GG-Michigan accomplish its mission and goals.

In my capacity as president of the organization, I am respectfully inviting you to join us in the celebration.

VIPs invited to attend include local and state officials. There will be special participation by the Miss of Michigan 2018 and Miss Asia of Michigan.

Kayla of Chicago will be the featured entertainer. Local talents will also perform.

Priya Mann, Channel 4 (WDIV) Detroit anchor and reporter will be the master of ceremonies.

Individuals or groups planning to attend the event are requested to make ticket reservation for the affair.

Dinner tickets cost $50 each.

Proceeds from the fundraiser will be used to fund USP4GG-Michigan’s 2019 community programs and projects ranging from the promotion of Filipino cultural heritage to civic engagement.

Checks in payment of dinner tickets are payable to USP4GG-Michigan, care of Treasurer Michelle Oh.
