A beauty-studded entertainment program will be the highlight of the PCCM’s (Philippine Chamber of Commerce-Michigan) Red Carpet Gala to be held on Oct. 19, 2012 at the Petruzzello’s Banquet Center in Troy.
PCCM Betsy Henry said that eight companies will also be honored for remarkable achievements during the annual event with the theme, “Live,Grow and Prosper inMichigan.”
The entertainment package, which is produced by Tonilee Martinez, is expected to bring excitement to the audience. The cast will include four candidates in the recent MissPhilippines-Mi beauty contest – namely, Carryle Zaldariaga (who is the new Miss Philippines-MI), Daiann Darwish, Sabrina Tungol and Rachel Sweet.
With world-class choreographer Annabelle Cudilla as art and dance director, the show will open with “A Tribute to Filipino Culture. “Kanta ng Pilipino,” which is choreographed by Cudilla, depicts the everyday life of the Filipinos.
The show’s second act is “A Tribute to the Arts” highlighted by “ All That Jazz,” a Broadway number also choreographed by Annabelle and to be sung by Fely Villegas. The Tagumpay Dancers and eight models will do the dance numbers.
The third act is a “Tribute to Motown” with one number to be performed by Ben Sweet on guitar and Rachel Sweet on vocals and guitar and Sabrina Tungol on drums.
The finale, which is a remix of Gloria Gaynor’s “Never Can Say Good-Bye,” will be performed by the all- star cast.
Another highlight of the event will be a silent auction during which valuable items will be on sale.
Proceeds of the fund-raising affair will be used to fund PCCM’s projects, including a scholarship program, the mechanics of which is still being worked out.
The affair will start at 6 p.m., and dinner will be served at 7:30 p.m.
General-admission tickets cost $50 each, and benefactor tickets cost $75 each.
