The 9th annual Ambassadors/Consuls General and Tourism Directors Tour (ACGTDT) in the Philippines will be held on July 28-August 3, 2014, it was announced.
ACGTDT is a special group tour packaged by the Philippine Department of Tourism and the Department of Foreign Affairs for Filipinos in the United States and Canada and promoted by the Philippine ambassadors, consul generals and tourism directors.
The purpose is to promote Philippine tourism among Filipinos in the US and Canada, particularly those who have not visited their homeland for a long time.
The basic tour package rate per person starts at $605. This amount does not include the cost of international round-trip ticket.

The tour package includes four-night stay at Dusit Thani Hotel in Makati City; daily buffet breakfast, two lunches and dinners with cultural show and entertainment; wreath-laying ceremony at Rizal Park; audience with President Aquino and lunch at Malacanang’s Heroes Hall; tour of Manila, Makati, University of Santo Tomas and Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and visit to the Ayala Museum; and out-of-town visit to Hamilo Coast in Nasugbu, Batangas.
