  3. To assure travelers and tourists that the Philippines is a safe place to travel. This is to overcome the security concerns and the travel advisories issued by foreign governments.
  4.  To attract Fil-Americans and foreign tourists to invest in the Philippines particularly in tourism-oriented projects, real estate and other tourism related industries.
  5. To promote medical tourism as well as health and wellness programs which the Department of Tourism jointly with the private sector is promoting particularly in major destinations like Cebu, Bohol, Boracay and Palawan.
  6. To promote the Philippines as a retirement haven for Fil-Ams and foreigners. And
  7. To contribute to the national economy in terms of foreign exchange earnings.
